7th Grade Orchestra
7th grade orchestra builds on the skills previously developed. The curriculum focuses on the building of performance skills as well as better understanding music through the preparation of string orchestra music. Students will also use the Solos and Etudes 2 book to build technique. During the third quarter students will prepare a Solo or Ensemble, with the option of either performing at the District Solo/Ensemble Festival or for critique by the teacher. During the second semester, the 7th and 8th grade orchestra are combined for performances and participate in various activities and concerts together.
Students in 7th Grade meet twice per week for a total of 90 minutes.
